You will foster innovation through prototyping and exploration of new technologies, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge solutions into software architectures.You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager and you'll work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule.In this role, you will have a significant impact on the business by driving innovation and influencing the direction of software systems. Your strategic guidance in architectural design will contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of Honeywell in the dynamic technology landscape.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Guide and drive the architectural design of complex warehouse automation software systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to software architects and development teams
• Work with cross-functional teams, including design, development, and quality assurance, to define system requirements
• Drive architectural choices to optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Work closely with product managers, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective software architecture

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in software architecture and development
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse or facility automation systems
  • Extensive expertise in software design and development using languages such as C++, C#, and Java.
  • Proficient in communication protocols including .NET, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, ProfiNet, and Modbus.
  • Adept at interfacing with real-time Material Handling Equipment (MHE) hardware and skilled in integrating with PLC, SCADA, and cloud-based systems.
  • Proven track record with First Article Test (FAT) and Customer Acceptance Test (CAT).WE VALUE
