Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader Associate to join our Seafood Department team at Whole Foods Market. As a Team Leader Associate, you will assist the Team Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability, expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory compliance, and special projects.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Work closely with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, analyzing sales reports and labor data to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist the Team Leader in budget preparation, ensuring accurate projections and strategic planning.
• Contribute to the success of the Seafood Department by assisting with ordering and inventory management, ensuring seamless product flow and minimizing stockouts.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and questions to maintain a positive store experience.
• Select, train, develop, and mentor Team Members to foster a high-performance team, promoting a culture of respect, inclusivity, and continuous learning.
• Communicate and maintain Team Member safety and security standards, providing timely and thorough performance evaluations to support growth and development.Requirements
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
