Job Title: Medical Biller
$18 + based on experience (3 years minimum) FT or PT
Looking for experienced medical/dermatology biller
Ideal candidate will be a flexible, hard-working individual who can work independently as well as be a team player and work effectively with others. Candidate must possess a strong ability to multitask, be service oriented and have excellent communication skills (both oral and written.) Dermatology billing experience and Athena and ModMed (EMA) software is a plus.
Responsibilities: Excellent knowledge of insurance carrier billing and reimbursement with knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9/ICD-10 and CPT codes, verifying patient insurance eligibility, submitting claims electronically, following up on unpaid claims with Medicare and Commercial insurance companies identified through aging reports, collecting and posting payments, managing patient billing inquiries, and resolving claim denials by appealing to insurance companies when necessary. Perform various collection actions including contacting patients by phone.Medical insurance/ paid holidays and vacation time, 401K and other in office benefits. Compensation based on experience.
