• Job Details
• Miami Valley Hospital has 1 CVOR RN position available.
• Must have Open Heart experience!
• UNIT DESCRIPTION: -28 OR's when there isn't a heart case to scrub, will work general surgeries mostly general and ortho cases. Also, urology, GYN and spine (no neuro) -1-2 cases per day for CV.
• The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing.
• The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles.
• The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
• The CN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients/families/significant others.
• The CN is responsible for knowledge and implementation of the mission, vision, and values of Atrium Medical Center.
  • Job Requirements
  • Education: BSN required or AND
  • Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License
  • Certification: Current CPR required. ACLS certification required.
  • Experience: One year of OR experience
  • Skills/Other: Must be willing to work with acutely ill patients, including emergency situations. Works independently as well as functioning as a team member and charge nurse as assigned. Capable of adapting to changing environment. Practice is consistent with Ohio Board of Nursing standards and regulations.
    • Schedule Information
    • Call Requirement: 1 night weekday, and 1 weekend per month
    • Must be willing to float to Atrium Medical Center as needed
