Job Title: Clinical Coordinator
Job Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator plays a vital role in the management and
operation of our dialysis clinic. This position assumes full
responsibility for the clinic in the absence of the Administrator,
ensuring seamless patient care and operational processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with clinical and operational processes to improve
patient health and minimize hospitalizations and missed
treatments.
- Assist with planning and coordinating patient scheduling to
ensure timely acceptance of patients and effective staffing
levels.
- Implement efficient use of supplies and staff labor hours.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of logs and dialysis run
sheets for billing purposes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet patient care or
operational needs.
Outcomes and Standards:
- Coordinate functions across departments and develop standards
for measuring patient care services, including a chronological
record of services provided.
- Collaborate with the Administrator to maintain thorough and
accurate documentation in patient records.
- Promote a quality management program through education and
involvement of staff and patients in outcomes.
- Assist with achieving corporate goals for quality patient
care.
- Review incident reports, make recommendations, and take action
as needed.
Operational Readiness:
- Stay current with federal, state, and local laws and
regulations, including healthcare professionals practice act
requirements.
- Assure clinic compliance with applicable laws and
regulations.
- Assist with development, implementation, and follow-up of
Corrective Action Plans.
- May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.
- May fulfill Alternate CEO responsibilities as delegated.
Partnerships and Staff Development:
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Medical Director and
physicians.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with
Administrators, area hospitals, agencies, vendors, and the
community.
- Promote GUEST customer service standards and develop effective
relationships within the organization.
- Respond effectively to inquiries and complaints.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the applicable state, maintained in good
standing.
- 12 months experience in providing nursing care, including 3
months in maintenance dialysis.
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to distinguish primary colors.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to perform in new
and emergent situations.
- Working knowledge of the English language and ability to
communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and
proficiency in USRC clinical applications within 90 days of
hire.
